One score, many systems
CUET is the entrance, not the admission. Each participating university runs its own counselling: separate registration (with separate fees), its own preference system, its own merit lists and its own round calendar. Applying to DU does nothing for your BHU candidacy — you must register on each university's portal you care about.
The systems genuinely differ: BHU runs its own allocation rounds; JNU has programme-specific processes; Jamia applies its own eligibility and reservation policies (and uses CUET for only some programmes); AMU similarly mixes CUET-based and internal admissions. Assume nothing transfers.
Strategy across universities
Register wide early: registration fees are small against the option value. Calendars overlap and move — a university you ignored in July can be your best offer in September as rounds progress at different speeds.
Compare final options on programme strength, not just university brand: JNU's languages and social sciences, BHU's breadth, Jamia's specific professional programmes, AMU's legacy departments — for a given subject, the 'lower brand' university might hold the stronger department.
